Incredibly easy to assemble recipe that will blow your friends away. Disgust or euphoria? It will depend on your friends, but bologna cake actually is pretty tasty! Oh, and pretty filling, too. ;0
Ingredients:
1 lb deli sliced bologna
16 oz cream cheese (2 boxes)
4 oz pimiento stuffed olives
4 oz pickled jalapenos
1 tbsp garlic powder
salt to taste
I used Boar's Head Garlic Bologna, and honestly, it was a little too much garlic for me, but my boyfriend loved it! When I do this again, I'll try my childhood favorite, Oscar Mayer.
1. Allow the cream cheese to soften.
2. Chop up the 'frosting' (olives, jalapenos) ingredients. Let them dry out on paper towels, or you run the risk of the cream cheese frosting being runny.
3. Add stuff you like. I hate onions, so you won't find onions in this recipe. But you do you. Just adjust the recipe in CarbManager so you can see the correct macros for whatever you add to the frosting.
4. Throw the cream cheese in your stand mixer, add the chopped olives and jalapenos, garlic powder. If you need to, add the salt to taste.
5. Put a slice of bologna on the plate and start frosting!
6. Wow your loved ones.
